Dental Concerns

Gum disease and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain are both two of the most common dental concerns. Dr. Paul Ro, DDS, is here to help address those concerns and consult with you to determine the best course of action for your oral health.

TMJ Therapy

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your lower jaw to your skull. When the muscles of the TMJ are causing discomfort or pain, you may have temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Dr. Ro can help if you are experiencing:

  • Pain when opening or closing mouth
  • Trouble chewing
  • Jaw becoming stuck open or shut
  • Headaches or ear pain
  • Clicking or popping sounds when opening your mouth
  • Teeth Grinding

If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, schedule a consultation. TMD can lead to other oral health problems. Dr. Ro can help determine what, if any steps are necessary to relieve your symptoms.

Bleeding Gums

Do your gums bleed when you brush or floss? You may have gum disease. Left untreated, early signs of gum disease, such as plaque and tartar, can lead to more serious problems in your teeth, the bones that hold your teeth in place and even your immune system. Dr. Ro and his staff will perform a through gum exam to determine your gum health and ensure your teeth won’t be lost to gum disease.
